Having spent his childhood in Ankara, Op. Dr. Mert Canlı completed his medical education at Marmara University School of Medicine (English Curriculum). From the very first years of medical school, his ultimate goal was to pursue a career in plastic surgery.
His fascination with form, proportion, and aesthetic balance—combined with the idea of creating visible yet natural transformations through surgery—became the driving force behind his specialization in plastic surgery. What interested him most in surgery was the ability to create balanced and refined enhancements in people's appearance while fully preserving their natural character.
During his medical education, he received training in plastic surgery at Sapienza University of Rome as part of an international student exchange program. He completed his residency training in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery in Istanbul at Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital (currently Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu City Hospital).
From 2020 onward, he dedicated his career exclusively to aesthetic surgery. Throughout this period, while gaining extensive experience across hundreds of unique cases and thousands of aesthetic procedures, he focused particularly on rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation, and breast surgery.

To further refine his philosophy of natural outcomes, he participated in various international training and fellowship programs. He continued his advanced studies on facial anatomy, Deep Plane Facelift, and modern facial rejuvenation techniques at Europe's leading surgical centers. He completed advanced facelift training programs alongside Michele Pascali in Rome and Verona, and with Giovanni Botti and Mario Pelle in Vienna.
Following his residency, he successfully passed both the European Board of Plastic Surgery examinations and the Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery board certification exams. He holds board certification from the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) as well as the TPRECD Certificate of Qualification.
Dr. Mert Canlı is an active member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (TPRECD), the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Association (EPCD), and the Turkish Medical Association (TTB).
Additionally, as an integral part of the FABCAST educational platform—which organizes specialized training in facial anatomy and facelift surgery—he plays an active role in cadaver dissection and facelift workshops.
He builds his surgical approach on four core pillars: natural results, facial and body harmony, meticulous planning, and timeless aesthetic philosophy.
