How Is Surgery Performed?

The operation is typically performed under local anesthesia, sedation, or—depending on the patient's comfort—general anesthesia, and it lasts an average of 30 to 45 minutes.

Drawing and Anesthesia: The fat accumulation area under the chin is mapped. A special liquid mixture (tumescent fluid) that prevents pain and bleeding is injected into the area.
